POSITION NAME: REGIONAL Environment, Health and Safety Engineer (EHS) COMPANY: well known FMCG producer

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish EHS procedures and rules to comply with legal and corporate EHS standards.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and define control measures to reduce the risks to acceptable level.
  • Liaise with external organizations to ensure proper EHS management.
  • Assist by Accident and Incident investigations to ensure that the basic causes are defined so adequate actions can be taken.
  • Establish, communicate and support by training the execution of the EHS program.
  • Process the safety figures and analyze to define proper actions.
  • Conduct safety inspections to very proper implementation.
  • Standardize and simplify systems to ensure easy integration of EHS, Foodsafety, Security and Quality into Operations.
  • Corporate with all departments to synergize specific EHS and Quality requirements and needs.
  • Helps in the development of new concepts, techniques and standards
  • Takes ownership of the site EHS plan leading to high performance in EHS
  • -Keeps momentum in EHS matters at the site as to assure that EHS plan is rolled out on a regular and systematic way. -Maintains contacts with national EH&S bodies and authorities (participates in EHS bodies as the Company representative)
  • -Communicates national EH&S standards and legislation to sites within country
  • -Assists in implementation of programs and communication of information in matters which require uniformity on national level (Contractors, Office Safety, Traffic safety, Suppliers of safety materials and equipment, Training-materials/institutes/programs)
  • -KRA's toward functional activities are defined by BU EHS coordinator and Country EHS coordinator in agreement with site/facility Superintendent
  • -Meets legal requirements as set for such a function (prepares annual report, provides
  • assistance to Superintendent in developing and defining a pro-active safety plan
  • Is involved in the organization and training assistance Gorbe or BU EHS training sessions.
