Our Client is a well-known international logistics provider due to the expansion of its operations now is seeking experienced professional for the Finance Manager role. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Finance Manager will provide a full financial and accounting function such as, but not limited to financial reporting, finance controls and finance management for the business unit. The Job holder shall provide commercial and management support to the Managing Director (MD) and be his deputy in his absence.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide financial and commercial guidance to the MD
  • Support the MD in driving improved business performance in all areas. In particular in product and customer profitability and productivity.
  • Provide financial and commercial support to the management team in respect of projects and commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure effective financial controls and systems are in place in the businesses and financial control procedures are understood, implemented and followed.
  • Identify and manage financial and commercial risk within the business.
  • Prepare and manage processes for business reviews, budgets and forecast
  • Provide strong leadership to the finance teams.
  • Manage the total cost of finance in the business unit and implement the most cost effective structure
  • Adhoc investigations/projects as required.
  • Play an active part in the management of the Business ensuring that decisions are made having regard to their financial consequences.
  • Develop and monitor action plans for performance improvement
  • Control of cash management and management of working capital.
  • Ensure Company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Ensure the integrity of reporting (financial and non-financial) and that it is timely for all sites within the business.
 

THE CANDIDATE

You will probably be aged between 30 and 45, have a relevant University degree and recognized financial qualification, fluent English, and minimum 5 years of sound experience in accounting, finance management and in budgetary control, Credit system/Cash management, Controlling, Taxes/Insurance, Corporate planning, Reporting, Risk management and Personnel leadership . In order to be successful in the role, a candidate needs to have a high degree of self-motivation and to be charismatic, problem solver, decision maker, have a well developed commercial acumen and be a natural born leader with strong organizational, analytical and team development skills with a potential to grow further.
