Our Client is a worldwide known commodity trading company with long traditions. With over 43 offices and branches throughout the world the consolidated trade is approximately 43 million tones of commodities valued Euro 6 billion annually. The Company is fast growing and therefore we have an opening for an Accountant position to join the professional team in Kazakhstan.

 

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, maintain balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly, quarterly and year-end closing and cost accounting reports in time.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
  • Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
  • Monitor and support taxation issues
  • Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
  • Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
  • Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.
 

THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate should possess knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including IAS/GAAP. Knowledge of auditing practices and principles and of of applicable laws, codes and regulations Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, three to five years of accounting experience and successful completion of CPA exams.
