PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The purpose of the role is to ensure that the company in Ukraine has the right and efficient HR function and is administered according to the Labour and Tax Law of Ukraine as well as corporate standards of the company. Human Resources Manager ensures intersection between commercial and operations and promotes the corporate values such as ethic, innovation, enthusiasm, competence and cohesiveness.

From the start, the person will have to evaluate the current situation within the HR function: audit/evaluate the documentation (contracts, timesheets, work loads, business processes, etc.) and come up with an action plan on what and how should be organized and changed as soon as possible. The HR Manager will be the hands on & implementation person rather than a “cabinet manager”.

HR Manager should have a deep knowledge of Ukrainian Labor regulation and be the key expert for the company in the labor related issues.

The successful candidate will need to be an expert in all aspects of Human Resources Administration, be able to participate in making business decisions, liaising with management and colleagues in all functional areas, will possess a comprehensive Labour Law understanding, including its practical application, and the ability to act based on anticipated impact of changes in the legislation, thus building effective work-based scenarios. The owner of the position will report to the GM in Ukraine and will work in close co-operation with the HR Director of Central and Eastern Europe.

Reports to: GM - administratively and Regional HR manager – functionally The person will work closely with all functions of the company – operational and finance as well as with outside consultants and the State authorities on the labor related matters.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adopting, developing and implementing strategy for HR management and development (including recruitment and selection policy/practices, discipline, grievance, counseling, pay and conditions, contracts, training and development, succession planning, moral and motivation, culture and attitude development, performance appraisal and quality management issues);
  • Ensuring compliance of all HR documentation with government employment regulations;
  • Ensuring activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirement for quality management, health and safety, legal requirement, environmental policies;
  • Coaching and counseling management and employees regarding employee relation issues, policy, procedures;
  • Maintaining HR information system records;
  • Conducting recruitment for all openings, and new personnel orientation;
  • Liaise with other functional / departmental head so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HR development, and to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purpose and achievements;
  • Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of HR development, develop tools for appraisal etc.;
  • Monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and development plans and achievement within agreed formats and timescale;
  • Preparing reports and presentations regarding HR department work.
 

THE CANDIDATE

    You will probably be aged between 28 and 45, have a relevant University degree, fluent English, and minimum 3 years of sound experience in HR administration and development. In order to be successful in the role, you must have a well developed commercial acumen, demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills, be decisive and possess a sense of urgency to meet deadlines, problem solver.
