Administrative: Country Manager with authority to escalate issues to upper level if necessary
   
To provide commercial and management support to the Managing Director and responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, finance controls and finance management for the company.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide financial and commercial guidance to the MD
  • Support the MD in driving improved business performance in all areas. In particular in product and customer profitability and productivity.
  • Provide financial and commercial support to the management team in respect of projects and commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure effective financial controls and systems are in place in the businesses and financial control procedures are understood, implemented and followed.
  • Identify and manage financial and commercial risk within the business.
  • Prepare and manage processes for business reviews, budgets and forecast
  • Provide strong leadership to the finance teams within the business covering both Controlling and Accounting.
  • Manage the total cost of finance in the business unit and implement the most cost effective structure
  • Adhoc investigations/projects as required.
  • Play an active part in the management of the Business ensuring that decisions are made having regard to their financial consequences.
  • Develop and monitor action plans for performance improvement
  • Overseeing relationship with accounting service providers. Take decisions to ensure that the most effective Accounting services are provided to the business
  • Control of cash management and management of working capital.
  • Ensure Company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Ensure the integrity of reporting (financial and non-financial) and that it is timely for all sites within the business.
 

THE CANDIDATE

  • Higher education, preferably University or equivalent
  • Recognised financial qualifications, e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Excellent written and oral communication, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage all areas of finance
  • Good leadership and team development skills
  • Well developed commercial acumen and analytical skills
