THE COMPANY

Our Client is one of the market leaders within the international logistics industry, specializing in providing efficient and customized solutions within the world and in particular in Ukraine. Due to the development and improvement of the business, there is an opening for a Finance Manager position.

 

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing all related financial, operational, and administration activities. Will provide a full range of financial and accounting function such as financial reporting, finance controls and finance management for the business unit and provide a strong commercial and management support to the Managing Director (MD). Since the company is a service provider, the Finance Manager will have to be involved in client relationship in terms of financial issues and developing common focus with finance colleagues from company clients.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide financial and commercial guidance to the MD
  • Support the MD in driving improved business performance in all areas. In particular in product and customer profitability and productivity.
  • Provide financial and commercial support to the management team in respect of projects and commercial negotiations.
  • Ensure effective financial controls and systems are in place in the businesses and financial control procedures are understood, implemented and followed.
  • Identify and manage financial and commercial risk within the business.
  • Prepare and manage processes for business reviews, budgets and forecast
  • Provide strong leadership to the finance teams within the business covering both Controlling and Accounting.
  • Manage the total cost of finance in the business unit and implement the most cost effective structure
  • Adhoc investigations/projects as required.
  • Play an active part in the management of the Business ensuring that decisions are made having regard to their financial consequences.
  • Develop and monitor action plans for performance improvement
  • Overseeing relationship with accounting service providers. Take decisions to ensure that the most effective Accounting services are provided to the business
  • Control of cash management and management of working capital.
  • Ensure Company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Ensure the integrity of reporting (financial and non-financial) and that it is timely for all sites within the business.
 

THE CANDIDATE

    You will probably be aged between 30 and 45, have a relevant University degree and recognized financial qualification, fluent English, and minimum 5 years of sound experience in accounting and finance management, budgetary control, Credit system/Cash management, Controlling, Taxes/Insurance, Corporate planning, Reporting, Risk management and Personnel leadership . In order to be successful in the role, a candidate needs to be charismatic, have a well developed commercial acumen and be a natural born leader with strong organizational, analytical and team development skills.
